THFA Announces Election of a New Executive Director and Two New Board Members
On November 8, 2011, the Texas Hedge Fund Association announced the election of Bob Griffin of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP as its Executive Director. "I am excited to assume a new leadership role in the THFA and am committed to ensuring that we continue to support the needs of our membership through educational and networking programs." Mr. Griffin replaces Barry Y. Greenberg, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Swank Capital, LLC who was elected to continue to serve as a member of the board. Newly elected board member Kumar Venkataraman is the James M. Collins Chair in Finance at Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business in Dallas.
